The Cure Apothecary Makes Clean and Green Personal Care Exciting
Nitasha Goel, Founder
I grew up in Guelph just outside of Toronto. when I was 18 years old I moved to the Toronto to go to school. I would say this is where my life started, my experiences by living in city have molded me into the person I am today. A strong women that doesn’t hear ‘no’ as an answer.
I have this crazy passion to surround myself talented people. I want to learn from others, I wanna hear what others are doing in their lives. That energy feeds me!
I always knew that I wanted to create my own business but I did not know what my path looked like. What I did know is that I needed to absorb as much knowledge as I could to make my dreams come true, so I worked a few corporate jobs and educated myself.
The Cure actually grew from passion, my passion for skin care and wanting to preserve my natural beauty and our planet; wanting to use ingredients that came from Mother Earth, looking at what we put on our skin the same way as what we put in our body. Before opening the shop I dove deep into all of these beautiful natural skin care brands and ingredients. I just fell in love. Using good products made me feel amazing! I actually even started making a few products of my own, which you can find in the store.
The Cure Apothecary started unknowingly many years ago when I was searching for my own personal skin care and wanting to make clean, green changes in my life. In 2013 I decided to leave my job and follow my dreams. I had a dream about The Cure and I needed that dream to come true. The doors opened in 2014 and this year we celebrated our fourth anniversary.
Here’s the thing- I want people to take their personal health, and wellness into consideration when it comes to skin care. We all do so many amazing things for inside of our body, and our physical body but sometimes we neglect our bodies largest organ, our skin. We need to take care of that part of us just as much as everything else. What I’m trying to provide you is a very simple stepping stone to clean or greener personal care. It’s one step at a time.

So, I have to say and it’s a little self promotion but something that I’m very proud of, and one of my favorite products is actually The Cure Apothecary Body Whip. I have heard the most beautiful things about the product for my customers and it just warms my heart that something that I created makes people feel good as much as it makes me feel good. It’s something that has been a part of my daily routine for many years something that I will continue to use has I age.
