Gracemade is Ethically Sourced and Faith-Driven

I’ve worked in the fashion industry for about 9 years now, working in various positions from wholesale to design. I’m drawn to beautiful things, and I love to create. I find inspiration from my travels, nature, people, and things of old – like vintage films, past decades etc.
Gracemade is a faith-driven women’s apparel brand that promotes a modern, fashion-forward approach to modesty. The way we see it, modesty is not a form of constraint or dressing dowdy, but instead an invitation to explore our heart’s intention, and discover where we find our worth.
As a part of being a faith-driven concept, we also believe in being good stewards of the earth and people. So we take pride in ethically sourcing and manufacturing our line locally here in Los Angeles, and providing fair pay to our contractors.
We also empower our community to make a difference by donating a portion of each sale to charity.
The idea for Gracemade came to me while I working for another apparel brand here in LA. I was over the superficial side of the industry, and wanted to create a line with substance – a line that would transcend fashion and actually make a difference in the world.
I, myself, had started to dress more modestly at the time, and as I researched modest fashion brands I couldn’t find anything that catered to the modern woman, or that shared my ethical values. That’s when I saw a gap in the market that would allow me to realize my dream of starting my own fashion company.
Gracemade is unique because it promotes a concept that is so foreign to our culture. In a world where wearing less is more, and fast fashion dominates – we are completely, unapologetically countercultural. And I love doing the contrary of what everyone else is doing, so it works out perfectly!
My all time favorite product is our linen Shalom Jumpsuit – it looks absolutely amazing on every body type.
